Title: Case for carbon dioxide

Abstract

The American scientific establishment has gone on record as stating that the rapidly rising carbon dioxide content of Earth's atmosphere will lead to an unprecedented global warming in the not-too-distant future, and that this climate catastrophe will be accompanied by all sorts of adverse consequences. However, a careful analysis of the CO/sub 2/ ''greenhouse effect'' reveals it to be a theory without substance, leading to predictions which are exactly the opposite of what is observed in nature. What is more, literally hundreds of sound agronomic experiments conducted over the past several decades have established beyond all doubt that atmospheric CO/sub 2/ enrichment will be a great boon to agriculture, allowing tremendously increased yields to be produced with but a fraction of the water which is currently required. Thus, more atmospheric CO/sub 2/ should actually prove to be a blessing, rather than the curse which it is often made out to be in the popular press.
