| Description/Abstract | This lecture summarizes results from engine heat transfer studies. The work covers instrumentation for both radiation and total heat transfer in the cylinder, boundary layer measurements and convection model to be used as subgrid models in computational fluids codes such as KIVA. Conclusions from engine tests and comparisons with models are given in abbreviated form. |
