| Description/Abstract | The authors apply a method of time-frequency analysis called chirplet analysis to study whistlers in the magnetosphere. They show that this procedure give better analysis results than the original method proposed by Gabor for the analysis of nonstationary wave phenomena. They discuss features of their analysis algorithm which allow user input in applying it to particular problems. |
