With the advent of petroleum exploration activities on the Florida continental shelf, it became apparent that identification, review, and compilation of the maximum possible environmental information relative to the marine environments of the Florida coastal zone, territorial sea, and adjacent continental-shelf waters would be essential. Categories of theses and dissertations included are: biology, geology, chemistry, physical oceanography, and miscellaneous studies. Dates of theses and dissertations included are 1950 to 1973.
