Proceedings of the 25th symposium
The Annual Simulation Symposium is a forum for the interchange of ideas, techniques, and applications among practitioners of simulation in industry, government, and academia. The paper sessions are designed to generate an interactive discussion of concepts, methodology, and results between author and audience. The structure of the Symposium also provides for a degree of collegiality and continuity in the discussions of the various topics presented during the week. The objectives of the Symposium are: To provide a continuing forum for the exchange of working experiences in the field of computer simulation; To provide a opportunity to survey a broad range of applications; To furnish an opportunity for comprehensive understanding of simulation techniques through organized question and answer periods and personal contacts; To provide potential users of simulation with first-hand exposure to methods; To help maintain objectivity in the science of simulation through a noncommercial meeting without obligation to any specific hardware or software product; and, To underwrite, through grants, advancement in state-of-the-art computer simulation. Membership is provided as a result of registration at the Annual Symposium. A Board of Directors is elected by the membership, with each Director serving a three-year term.
