Purpose of the Office of Health and Environmental Research (OHER) Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Faculty and Student Research Participation and Training Program is to provide training and collaborative research participation opportunities in OHER-supported programs and activities at designated US Department of Energy (DOE) research and development facilities. The program advances the mission of OHER, strengthens the research and teaching capabilities of HBCUs in disciplines supportive of OHER program activities, and introduces faculty members and students to DOE facilities and the OHER mission.
