A feasibility study for a hydroelectric project is defined as an investigation whose purpose is to determine whether any reasonable acceptable design for a project is technically viable. Alternatives of site development are studied and various solutions for civil works and equipment sizing are evaluated. When alternatives are considered technically viable they are then evaluated for financial viability. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the viability of the La Paz Hydroelectric Project.
