Lawsuits involving hazardous wastes and toxic torts must consider concerns that differ from those in products liability and other personal injury suits. The nature of the claims, the context in which they arise, the public interest and private concerns at stake, and the unusual regulatory framework combine to create special problems which are ignored only at great risk to the litigant. The author identifies and makes reference to appropriate regulations those issues needing special consideration. 28 references.
