Proceedings: Sixth national demand-side management conference
Demand-side management, a term created barely a decade ago, now plays a prominent role in meeting the resource needs of the utility industry, confronting the environmental challenges of the upcoming years, and satisfying the energy service needs of customers in an increasingly competitive marketplace. These proceedings contain the papers from the 6th National Demand-Side Management Conference held March 24--26 in Miami Beach, Florida. The conference theme Making a Difference'' highlights the new, heightened importance of DSM is taking throughout the country. All the major topics of DSM are covered, including integrated resource planning, program design, implementation, market research, marketing, evaluation, monitoring, technologies, rates, regulation, and environment. A combination of case studies, panel discussions on future directions, and advanced DSM techniques makes this a very comprehensive document for all energy professionals.
