Research in experimental nuclear physics: Progress report, April 1, 1988--March 31, 1989
This report summarizes the work carried out by personnel from the University of Texas at Austin at the Los Alamos Clinton P. Anderson Meson Physics Facility (LAMPF) during the calendar year 1987 under grant AS05-87ER40343 between The University of Texas at Austin and the United States Department of Energy. The research activities involved experiments done with the Energetic Pion Channel and Spectrometer (EPICS), the Low Energy Pion Channel (LEP), the Pion and Particle Physics Channel (P/sup 3/), and the High Resolution Spectrometer (HRS). A brief overview of work supported by this grant is given. This report contains a list of abstracts of papers reported at scientific meetings, a list of invited papers, and a list of published papers and preprints. These papers summarize experiments undertaken in this grant period and indicate the work accomplished by the participants in this program of medium energy nuclear physics research. Much of the experimental work that has been attempted during the period covered by this report has either been published or submitted for publication. Also included is a list of the recent proposals on which we have participation at LAMPF, and a list of personnel who have participated in this research program.
