HTGR steam-cycle/cogeneration technology development plan for Nuclear Steam Supply System. Volume III. Technology development plan
The program described in this document includes all work currently foreseen by the program participants as needed to provide the basic technology and design data required on a priority basis to complete and verify the design of the HTGT - steam cycle/cogeneration (SC/C) plant operating on the low-enriched uranium/thorium (LEU/Th) cycle in a time frame consistent with specific HTGR plant applications. The program includes fuel materials and fuel process development, all nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) component testing and design verification, plant technology development, materials design data development, and technology transfer from other programs required to support the design of the nuclear heat source (NHS)
