High resolution autoionization spectra of multi-charged Na-like states in silicon are presented. These states have been populated in collisions of Si[sup 5+] on He with 50 keV impact energy. The electron emission following the decay of core-excited 2p[sup 5] 3lnl[prime] (n=3 and 4) levels in SiIV has been measured. Theoretically energies associated with the core-excited (2p[sup 5]3s[sup 2]), (2p[sup 5]3s3p), (2p[sup 5]3p3d), (2p[sup 5]3s4p) and (2p[sup 5]3s4f) states have been calculated relative to each other and relative to the (2p[sup 6]) [sup 1]S limit by using the Multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock (MCHF) method. Relativistic fine structure splitting of the (2p[sup 5]3lnl[prime]) and (2p[sup 5]3l4l[prime]) manifolds have been predicted. In most cases very good agreement has been achieved between the predicted and observed autoionization peak positions.
