Study of the seismic stability of primary-loop equipment of an atomic electric power plant with water-moderated reactors

The basic principles are described of a method for the analytical study of the seismic stability of equipment in the primary loop of an atomic electric power plant (AES) with water-moderated reactors. The general formulation of the problem is outlined which is based on the selection of a theoretical seismic activity and the construction of mathematical models using a numerical method for the dynamic analysis of seismic stability. Calculation results and a general evaluation of the effectiveness of using the given method are presented.
