We apply the method of the derivative expansion to solve for simple two-dimensional models. We obtain the one-parameter class of solutions for the massless Thirring model, the massive-vector-boson model, and the gradient-coupling model. The solution for the Schwinger model is obtained in a limit of the massive-vector-boson model.
