Fossil energy research participation program. Annual report, FY 1984
The US Department of Energy's (DOE) Fossil Energy Research Participation Program provides opportunities and support for research and training in advanced fossil energy technologies and procedures and access to modern and extensive fossil energy research facilities. There are separate facets of the program for undergraduate and graduate students, postgraduates, and faculty members from institutions af higher education. Two DOE Energy Technology Centers participated in the program in FY-1984. The centers are located in Morgantown, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. These centers offer unique combinations of specialists, facilities, and programs for cooperative and/or independent research and training on problems related to fossil energy. Program funding is provided by the participating facilities in response to cost estimates prepared by ORAU for each individual program selectee.
