This report summarizes some of the technical contributions from the Los Alamos National Laboratory to the Nevada Nuclear Waste Storage Investigations (NNWSI) project managed by the Nevada Operations Office of the US Department of Energy (DOE) during the period July 1 through September 30, 1984. The report is not a detailed technical document but does indicate the status of the investigations being performed at Los Alamos. Subjects investigated include: geochemistry, mineralogy and petrology of tuff, tectonics and volcanism, mechanical properties of tuff, and sealing materials evaluation. 101 refs., 15 figs., 12 tabs.
