Proceedings: Shanghai 1991 Ash Utilization Conference
- eds.; Shanghai Research Inst. of Building Sciences, SH (China)
These proceedings are of the 1991 Shanghai International Conference on the Utilization of Fly Ash and other Coal Combustion By-Products, held in Shanghai, China, from September 10 through 12. The objective of the conference was to provide a forum for the exchange of technical information and research results on the utilization, handling, disposal of coal combustion by-products. A number of leading experts in China and from many other countries addressed the audience about their experiences and studies in the field and laboratory. The 119 conference papers were presented in various technical sessions featuring: (1) use of fly ash in cement, concrete and concrete products, (2) use of fly ash in building materials, (3) use of fly ash in geotechnics, (4) large-volume fly ash utilization, (5) fly ash handling and management, (6) fly ash utilization and development, and (7) by-product characterization and classification. The proceedings are arranged in three volumes containing the 119 papers, presented during the three-day conference. Volume 1 contains several ash utilization overview papers and ones on building product applications. Volume 2 contains papers related to concrete, cement production, and aggregates. This volume brings together a variety of high-volume civil engineering applications, and R D projects. Individual projects are processed separately on the databases.
