Criticality benchmark calculations of the ESADA plutonium program experiments with MCNP

An element of benchmark calculations is the assessment of reliability and suitability of codes and cross-section libraries. In this paper, we present benchmark calculations of the single-region experiments that were part of the ESADA Plutonium Program using MCNP-4A with ENDF/B-VI cross-section libraries. These critical experiments were performed at the Westinghouse Reactor Evaluation Center in 1967 for several mixed-oxide (MOX) and UO{sub 2}-fueled core configurations.
