Project Tracking System (PTS). User's manual and program documentation
The Bartlesville Energy Technology Center (BETC) Project Tracking System (PTS) is a computerized information system developed to generate automatic updates to other Department of Energy (DOE) systems such as the Business Management Information System (BMIS), as well as to aid in the in-house tracking of the cost, schedule, and manpower status of the approximately 200 BETC contracts. The PTS data base contains administrative and limited technical information on planned, active, and terminated contracts. The PTS software and data base are resident upon BETC's PDP 11/70 computer, which utilizes the RSX-11M operating system. PTS programming was done in the BASIC + II and DATATRIEVE languages, which allow for conversational, English-like interactions between the user and the system during both input and output sessions.
