Title: Studies of fragmentation at 100 MeV/A at the Bevalac Low Energy Beam Line

Conference ·
OSTI ID:5362257

The detector system currently operating at the Bevalac Low Energy Beam Line is discussed. This system consists of a 34 element forward angle hodoscope and an 8 element array of gas-phoswich modules which has both a wide dynamic range and a large geometrical solid angle. This latter array is arranged at large angles to detect intermediate mass fragments, fission products, and slow, heavy target residues. Applications of this system to studies of reaction mechanisms at intermediate energies are discussed. 3 refs., 6 figs.
