A lightweight hybrid Kevlar-29/nylon 8-ft-dia ribbon parachute has been designed and developed for recovery of a cluster of three Zuni rockets with a spin-up canister weighing 266 lb at deployment. The parachute is reefed for two seconds by a 9-ft-long reefing line to limit the peak loads. Successful recoveries have been achieved from 700-1300 ft/sec deployment velocities.
