The results of studies of the High Pressure Xenon (HPXe) gas as a detector medium for gamma-ray spectrometers are presented. The designs of the high-pressure Xe spectrometers and their parameters are given. The spectrometers based on parallel plate and cylindrical ionization chambers with a shielding mesh or have the total energy resolution of about 2.0% FWHM at 1 MeV. They are insensible to a strong radiation flux, capable to operate in field conditions up to a temperature of 200{degrees}C for years without any deterioration in the energy resolution.
