Title: 7 sup + states in sup 26 Al observed in the sup 24 Mg(. alpha. , d ) and sup 25 Mg( sup 3 He, d ) reactions

The 7{sup +} states in {sup 26}Al were studied by the {sup 24}Mg({alpha},{ital d}){sup 26}Al reaction at {ital E}{sub {alpha}}=63.7 MeV and by the {sup 25}Mg({sup 3}He,{ital d}){sup 26}Al reaction at {ital E}{sub {ital h}}=55.2 MeV. Five 7{sup +} states were newly identified, in addition to the known 8.14-MeV 7{sup +} state, from the ({alpha},{ital d}) angular distributions. Comparisons of the ({alpha},{ital d}) and ({sup 3}He,{ital d}) cross sections showed that the 11.81-MeV state was excited through the ({ital d}{sub 5/2}g{sub 9/2}) component and the other 7{sup +} states through the ({ital f}{sub 7/2}){sup 2} component.
