Microstructural effects in abrasive wear. Quarterly progress report, 1 June 1980-1 September 1980
Technical Report

OSTI ID:5028211
This report describes research aimed at establishing quantitative relationships between microstructure and wear resistance of highly alloyed materials, including high-Cr white irons and experimental Co-base and Ni-base powder metallurgy (PM) alloys now used or potentially to be used in coal mining, handling and gasification. The specific types of wear under study are low-stress abrasion and gouging wear encountered in mining, coal converson and transfer applications.
