Title: ENERGY LEVELS OF B$sup 10$. I. THE REACTIONS B$sup 10$(p,p)B$sup 10$, B$sup 10$(d,d)B$sup 10$ AND C$sup 12$(D,/cap alpha/)B$sup 1$$sup 0$

Journal Article · · Nuclear Phys.

Levels in Bs/up 10/ excited by proton inelastic scattering with 10.02- Mev protons included two at 1.74 and 5.16 Mev. These levels were not excited in a deuteron inelastic scattering experiment, however, indicating that T = 1 for both the 1.74and 5.16-Mev levels. The upper limit to the relative intensity of the 5.16-Mev group was 1.5% of the average intensity of the T = 0 groups observed at 60 deg when the deuteron bombarding energy was 10.04 Mev. This result was confirmed by a study of the C/sup 12/(d, alpha )B/sup 10/ reaction, in which the 1.74- and 5.16-Mev levels in B/sup 10/ were found not to be excited. (auth)
