By means of solid-state counter techniques the intensity of the alpha groups from Bi/sup 211/, Po/sup 211/, Rn/sup 219/, and Ra/sup 223/ is measured. In particular the branching BETA /( alpha + BETA ) in Bi/sup 211/ is measured as (0.29 plus or minus 0.01) x 10/sup -2/. (auth)
