Tabulated data on sulfuric acid effects on Ti, Nb, and Ta showed that Ta is a subject of highest hydrolysis, at H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ 46 wt% ihe solution retained only 0.036 wt% Ta. The least hydrolysis was observed with Ti where at H/ sub 2/SO/sub 4/ 30 wt% the solution retained 0.534 wt% Ti. An intermediate position was occupied by Nb where at H/sub 2/SO/sub 4/ 46.0 wt% Nb content was 0.414 wt%. (R.V.J.)
