Superconducting epitaxial Tl{sub 2}Ba{sub 2}CaCu{sub 2}O{sub 8} (Tl-2212) and Tl{sub 2}Ba{sub 2}CuO{sub 6} (Tl-2201) thin films are synthesized on single crystal and bicrystal LaAlO{sub 3} substrates by an ex-situ process. Tl-2212 films were optically smooth, with T{sub c}`s from 105 to 108K and {Delta}T{sub c} <2K, J{sub c} reaching 2 x 10{sup 6}A/cm{sup 2} at 77K. Tl-2201 films exhibited tetragonal or orthorhombic symmetry depending on the thallium content. The T{sub c} of the as-synthesized Tl-2201 films was in the range 40-55K. By oxygen depletion, T{sub c} was increased by 15 - 20 K. Properties of weak links in Tl-2212 and Tl-2201 thin films are reported.
