By metallographic and x-ray graphic investigation of cast and annealed alloys of ZrMo/sub 2/- ZrV/sub 2/, determination of the solidus temperature, and measurement of the microhardness, it was shown that in the Mo-V-- Zr ternary system a continuous series of solid solution having a cubic structure of the MgCu/ sub 2/ type ( lambda /sub 2/) are forme d between the Laves phases of ZrMo/sub 2/ and ZrV/sub 2/.
