Ratios of bottom meson branching fractions involving {ital J}/{psi} mesons and determination of {ital b} quark fragmentation fractions
We report a measurement of the ratios of the decay rates of the {ital B}{sup +}, {ital B}{sup 0}, and {ital B}{sup 0}{sub {ital s}} mesons into exclusive final states containing a {ital J}/{psi} meson. The final states were selected from 19.6 pb{sup {minus}1} of {ital p{bar p}} collisions recorded by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. These data are interpreted to determine the {ital b} quark fragmentation fractions {ital f}{sub {ital u}}, {ital f}{sub {ital d}}, and {ital f}{sub {ital s}}. We also determine the branching fractions for the decay modes {ital B}{sup +}{r_arrow}{ital J}/{psi}{ital K}{sup +}, {ital B}{sup +}{r_arrow}{ital J}/{psi}{ital K}{asterisk}(892){sup +}, {ital B}{sup 0}{r_arrow}{ital J}/{psi}{ital K}{sup 0}, {ital B}{sup 0}{r_arrow}{ital J}/{psi}{ital K}{asterisk}(892){sup 0}, and {ital B}{sup 0}{sub {ital s}}{r_arrow}{ital J}/{psi}{phi}(1020).
