In work the calculating-experimental researches of the characteristics of neutrons on a beam B-3 of a reactor BR-10 for an effective utilization in neutron therapy are submitted. At present on reactor BR-10- the equipment IPPE the wide clinical researches on use of a beam of neutrons for therapy are carried out. In work two series of researches are carried out. In first the accounts by a method Monte Carlo spatial-energetically distribution of neutrons in water phantom are executed. As a result of these researches the materials are chosen and the filter for therapy by fast neutrons on a beam B-3 of a reactor BR-10 is designed. The second part of work is devoted to an experimental research of the spectral characteristics of various fields of fast neutrons on a beam B-3 of a reactor BR-1 O. For these researches were used the scintillation spectrometer of fast neutrons with a crystal stilbene and threshold detector of fast neutrons on the basis of reaction Rh(n,n'). Moreover measurement of flow of fast neutrons on a depth to normal tissue phantoms is made. The results of measurements are compared to account. Since 1985 up to now over 3 50 patients with head and neck tumors, breast carcinoma and osteogenic sarcoma were treated using fast reactor neutrons. A 5-year recurrence-free survival in laryngeal cancer patients was 62. 7% and in breast carcinoma patients it was 64. 6%.
