ERIT (Emittance/energy Recovery Internal Target) for Intense Neutron Production

An ERIT (Emittane/energy Recovery Internal Target) scheme for generating intense secondary particles such as neutron, unstable nuclei, muon etc. with ionization cooling has been proposed. Intense neutron source based on ERIT with FFAG proton storage ring is under construction.
