ChernoLit{trademark}: Chernobyl Bibliographic Search System user`s manual
The Chernobyl Bibliographic Search System (ChernoLit{trademark}) has been developed by Pacific Northwest Laboratory (PNL) for the US Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Health and Environmental Research to provide bibliographic bibliographic data in a usable format for research studies relating to the Chernobyl nuclear accident that occurred in the former Ukrainian Republic of the USSR in 1986. This literature search system is a product of the Chernobyl Database Management project. The purpose of this project is to produce and maintain an information system that is the official United States repository for information related to the accident. ChernoLit{trademark} was developed to provide extensive bibliographic data in any easy-to-use format. ChernoLit{trademark} is a personal-computer-based software package that allows the user to search the bibliographic data interactively as well as to view and print references. ChernoLit{trademark} provides a cost effective alternative to multiple, independent literature searches. Over 4500 references concerning the accident, including abstracts, are distributed with the literature search system.
